Mohammad Babadoost completed his Ph.D. in plant pathology at North Carolina State University. In 1999, he joined the faculty of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he is now a Professor of Plant Pathology and Extension Specialist. Mohammad conducts research and extension programs on the biology and management of vegetable and fruit crops diseases, and teaches "Plant Disease Diagnosis and Management." In the past 24 years, Dr. Babadoost has been involved in various teaching, research, and extension programs in 42 countries and has developed a profound commitment for establishing food security in the world.

Dr. Zavala studied Agronomy at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and graduated as MS in 2000. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2004 and a two-year postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology, Jena, Germany. After a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign supervised by Profs May Berenbaum and Evan DeLucia, USA. He obtained the position of Associate Professor at the University of Buenos Aires, School of Agronomy. He has published more than 70 research articles in SCI (E) journals. He is interested in plant defenses against insect attack, and how insects respond to plant defenses, using chemical, biochemical, and ecological tools.

Yuan Ming Zhang is a Professor who focuses on quantitative genetics research and specialized in methodologies for genome-wide association studies, quantitative trait locus mapping, and bulked segregant analysis. He received his Ph.D. from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2001. He did his postdoctoral research at the University of California, Riverside. He worked at Southwest University Rongchang campus in 1986 and moved to Nanjing Agricultural University in 1999 and Huazhong Agricultural University in 2014. His current research interests are to establish new methodologies for mining genes for quantitative traits in crops.

Gaye Krebs is an Associate Professor in Animal Nutrition with the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences at Charles Sturt University, Australia. After several decades now she has become an expert in the areas of ruminant nutrition and alternative feeds for livestock. In recent years the focus of her research has been on the utilization of hemp biomass as feed for sheep and cattle, investigating its effects on feed intake, nutrient digestibility, and carcass residues.

Guohui Li was born in October 1986. He graduated from Huazhong Agricultural University and is now an assistant researcher at Yangzhou University Rice Industry Engineering Technology Research Institute. The main research direction is rice cultivation physiology, including rice high-yield cultivation regulation technology, phloem loading, transportation, and phloem unloading mechanism of rice stem and leaf photoassimilates. He has successively presided over the National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund Project, the sub-project of Jiangsu Key R&D Plan (Modern Agriculture), and the independent innovation fund project of Jiangsu Province. More than 20 academic papers have been published in Plant and Cell Physiology, Frontiers in Plant Science, Crop Science, Agriculture, Journal of Plant Physiology, Life Science, Chinese Agricultural Science, and other journals. He was awarded the Excellent Doctoral Thesis of Huazhong Agricultural University and the Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award in 2021.

Alessandro Magrini achieved a PhD degree in Applied Statistics in 2014 and he is currently an Assistant Professor of Economic Statistics at the Department of Statistics, Computer Science, Applications - University of Florence, Florence, Italy. He teaches the course Business and Economic Statistics for the Bachelor’s Degree programme in Statistics, and the course Statistical Methods for Forecasting and Quantitative Marketing for the Master's Degree programme in Statistics and Data Science. His main research interests include time series modelling and forecasting, productivity analysis, sustainability assessment, policy evaluation, and bankruptcy risk prediction. He has authored several articles in high-quality scientific journals like Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, Advances in Statistical Applications, Expert Systems with Applications, Quality & Quantity, Social Indicators Research, and Journal of Business Research.

Dr. Anastasia Martzopoulou is a Mechanical and Agricultural Engineer and currently belongs to the academic staff of the School of Architecture - Faculty of Engineering - AUTH, where she completed her Ph.D. thesis entitled "Energy and environmental management in Industrial concentrations". She has been actively involved in the research activity of the URENIO Research Unit - AUTH in the fields of urban and regional planning and innovation, smart specialization, and smart-intelligent cities, as well as in the research activity of AUTH Labs of Agricultural Structures and Equipment, and Alternative Energy Sources in Agriculture. Scientific fields she is interested in Environmental planning for urban and rural areas, Alternative energy sources in agriculture, Energy Analysis, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural structures, Greenhouses and Livestock Buildings, Urban/Regional Planning and Innovation, and Smart energy cities, She teaches at the Schools of Architecture and Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has published a number of scientific papers and 2 books.

Theodoros Tsiligiridis served as a full professor at the Informatics Laboratory of the Department of Economics and Rural Development at the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece. He obtained his M.Sc in probability and statistics from Manchester University, UK, and his Ph.D. in telecommunications from the Dept of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK. He also served as a Director of an M.Sc course in Geoinformatics at the former Department of General Sciences of AUA. He has published numerous research papers on networking, artificial intelligence, and e-services on Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), mainly applied in the agricultural sector. He has served on international program committees of related conferences and editorial boards. Research fields include Computer Networking, Geoinformatics, WebGis, Location Based Services (LBS), Precision Agriculture (PA), Remote Sensing (RS), Decision Support Systems (DSS), Evolutionary Systems (ES), and Multimedia Technologies (MT). He currently works in artificial intelligence focusing on machine and deep learning, as well as, neural networks applied in computer networking and bio-earth environmental sectors. The specific applications he is interested in concentrate on sensor networks, LBS and RS applied in PA and big AgriData operations, as well as on WebGIS technologies, applied in pervasive environmental systems.

Nor Azizun Rusdi completed her undergraduate degree from University Putra Malaysia in Biochemistry and a Master's degree from the same University in Plant Biotechnology. She obtained her Ph.D. in Systems Biology from the University of Kebangsaan Malaysia, Malaysia. She is a Senior lecturer from Institute for Tropical Biology and Conservation, University Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia. Dr. Nor Azizun Rusdi is an active academic leader involved in teaching and supervising post-graduate students. She has published numerous scientific papers in international refereed journals and conference proceedings. She has more than 16 years of experience in research and teaching in Plant Biochemistry, Physiology, and Plant Biotechnology. Dr. Nor Azizun Rusdi is an active academic leader involved in teaching and supervising post-graduate students. She currently executes her research project in plant functional genomics, plant tissue culture of wild orchids, and natural product studies from medicinal plants.

Hadia Hussain was born in Pakistan. She graduated in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology at GC University Faisalabad, Pakistan. She has a master's degree in Plant Biotechnology with research on molecular screening of mungbean yellow mosaic virus (MYMV) resistant candidate genotypes based on the MYR-1 gene at the Centre of Agricultural Biochemistry and Biotechnology (CABB), from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. She started her experience as a researcher in plant molecular biology, cloning, PCR, and Transgenic plant. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate under Chinese government scholarship at Northeast Normal University China. Where her research is based on the functional characterization of ABA-responsive genes and transcription factors in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana including their role in hormone signaling, plant growth and development, and plant response to environmental stresses.

Mr. Bisemiire Anthony holds a BSc. in Agriculture and Rural Innovation and currently is the Marketing Assistant with pearl seeds limited and a board member of Pesh Poultry Farms across the country. Mr. Anthony has vast experience in extension, teaching, marketing, and consulting experiences respectively. He has served in several positions in agricultural seed production, post-harvest, marketing, poultry farming, dairy farming, and fruit crop growing. He graduated in agricultural sciences and rural innovation from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda, and graduated in crop production and management from Bukalasa Agricultural College. Through an exchange program of Agro studies, Anthony holds 2 more international diplomas in both animal and crop science from Ruppin Agricultural Centre, Israel.

Dr. Bhowmik received his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Molecular Biology from Kagawa University, Japan. Following JSPS, Killam, and NSERC postdoctoral training. Pankaj joined the National Research Council of Canada in Saskatoon in 2009 where he is now a Senior Research Officer and a member of the Cell Technologies team. Pankaj also has an additional role as the Scientific Support Lead for NRC's Sustainable Protein Production (SPP) program where he closely works with small and large companies in the plant biotech and ag-food sector, academia, and other Government Departments to establish multi-organizational research collaborations with external stakeholders. He has more than 20 years of experience in plant cell technologies and tissue culture. His specific research focuses on the improvement of crops through tissue culture, transformation, and gene editing.

Dr. Mahfuz Rahman is an Associate Professor and plant pathology specialist at WVU Extension Service. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in plant pathology from Oregon State University, and Simon Fraser University, Canada, respectively. He conducted post-doctoral research at North Carolina State University on Integrated Disease Management in strawberry Rahman joined WVU Extension Service in the summer of 2011. He conducts applied research and provides leadership for statewide educational/informational programs in plant pathology that include disease identification and management recommendations. Early diagnosis of pest problems remains at the cornerstone of his adaptive and applied research program at WVU that seeks to address disease problems primarily in vegetables and fruits. His research is driven by the urgency of solving growers' problems within a real-world agricultural production framework by asking strategic questions that advance the science of plant pathology to benefit growers. He takes an integrated approach that includes cutting-edge research on pathogen detection and quantification, proactive measures to avoid the introduction of harmful pathogens with planting material, and the adoption of measures based on the disease forecast model. One method that ensures rapid, early, and sensitive diagnosis is the use of molecular detection techniques, such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and real-time PCR which are used widely in Rahman's program.

Raphael was born in Contagem, Brazil. He graduated in Biological Sciences at Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais (Brazil) with an exchange program at Xavier University of Louisiana (USA) through Brazil's Science Without Borders program. He has a master's degree in Human Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) through the Flemish Interuniversity Council for University Development Cooperation (VLIR-UOS) program, with research on cultural ecosystem services and ecotourism development in protected areas. His experience as an early-career researcher is based on sustainable development, ecology, education, conservation and management of natural resources, and sustainable heritage approaches. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Tech4Culture program at the University of Turin (Italy) where his research addresses landscape ecology methods and assessment, and their recognition as cultural heritage.

Dr. Nikita- Martzopoulou was an Emeritus Professor in the Dept. of Agricultural Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) - Greece. She got the degree from the School of Agriculture - AUTH, where she was qualified for a state scholarship. She got her Ph.D. degree from the Section of Agric. Engineering - Dept. of Agriculture and Horticulture of the University of Reading - England. In 1981, she succeed a scholarship by NATO scientific cooperation for post-doctoral research at the University of Reading. She was the Director of the Laboratory of Agricultural Structures and Equipment, which was established by her the University of AUTH. Since 1994, She is the Director of the Center of Agricultural Structures and Control, installed by her as a project manager in the frame of an Interreg European Programme. Her research interests are greenhouses, livestock, and agricultural buildings, and environmental control of them by applying alternative energy sources. She taught in under and post-graduate courses and She has been involved as a tutor in several training and instructive courses. She has been actively involved in many National and International Symposiums (over 40), some of them as an invited speaker. She was a scientific consultant to the Ministry of Agriculture in Greece and president of several committees. She participated in many research and educational projects (over 15). She has published several scientific papers (over 105) and two books.

Mario Serrano studied agronomic engineering at the"Antonio Narro" Agrarian Autonomous University, Mexico. He did his Master's and doctoral studies at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute. From 2004 to 2008 he received a postdoctoral fellow from the Max-Planck Society, to work at the Max-Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Cologne, Germany. Afterward, from 2008 until 2014, he held a Junior Group Leader position at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Since 2015 he has held the position of Associate Professor at the Center for Genomic Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) Campus Morelos, Mexico. His work is the characterization of the plant's innate immunity to the necrotroph fungus, Botrytis cinerea, using genomic and chemical genetic methods and the identification and molecular characterization of biocontrols to this pathogen.

Katarzyna Suska has completed her Ph.D. from The Inland Fisheries Institute, Poland, and her postgraduate from The University of Warmia and Mazury, Poland. She is the head of the Remote sensing laboratory of the aquatic environment. She has published 4 papers in reputed journals and many studies and scientific monographs. She is experienced in low-altitude photogrammetry, monitoring of ichthyofauna habitats, and conducting electrofishing in rivers.

Dr. Amira Askri is a faculty member in the college of agriculture and veterinary medicine at the United Arab Emirates University, since 2018. She is specialized in soil fertility and organic waste valorization and reuse in agriculture. Her areas of interest are soil fertility and fertilizers, sustainability, organic waste, and soil-plant-environment relations. She obtained her Ph.D. degree in environmental science in 2015 from AgroParisTech-France. She also holds a master's degree in environmental science from AgroParisTech-France and an Engineering degree in natural resources management from the Higher School of Agriculture- Tunisia. Dr. Amira received the Agreenium excellence label (Delivered in 2015 by the International School of Research-Agreenium) in recognition of the quality of her research. Prior to joining the university as a faculty, she joined the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture in Dubai in 2016 as a post-doctoral fellow where she worked on the assessment of water pollution status in the Euphrates and Tigris rivers and its effect on the crop yields and human health. Dr. Amira received several certifications and awards during her career such as the Certificate of appreciation from the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (2016), the Certificate of leadership and management for scientific Arab woman (2017), the Certificate of appreciation from the United Nations, Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (2017). Dr. Amira is a member of a number of associations including the Waste to Energy Research and Technology Council Community of Experts and the French Association for the Study of the Soil.
