Dr. Qiuwang Wang is, Professor at the School of Energy & Power Engineering, Dean of the Department for Undergraduate Education, and Executive Director of the International Joint Research Laboratory of Thermal Science and Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University, China. He was a visiting scholar at the City University of Hong Kong from May 1998 to March 1999, a guest professor at the Kyushu University of Japan from September to December 2003, and a senior visiting scholar at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, USA from December 2012 to June 2013. His research interests include heat transfer enhancement and energy saving, energy storage fundamentals and technology, heat transfer under extreme conditions, heat transfer in porous media prediction, and optimization of thermal and fluid problems. He is a Fellow of ASME, a ChineseDelegate of the Assembly for the Intl Heat Transfer Conference (AIHTC), a member of the Scientific Council of Intl Centre for Heat & Mass Transfer (ICHMT), a Vice President of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics in Heat & Mass Transfer. He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Energy Storage and Saving, the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Heat Transfer Engineering, and the Editorial Board Member for several international journals such as Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering, etc. He is the founding chair of two international conferences: the International Workshop on Heat Transfer Advances for Energy Conservation and Pollution Control (IWHT, since 2011) and the International Conference on Energy Storage and Saving (ICENSS, since 2022). He has also delivered more than 50 Plenary/Keynote lectures at international conferences or foreign Universities. He has also been the author or co-authors of 4 books and more than 200 international journal papers. He has obtained more than 50 China Invent Patents and 5 US Patents.

Dr. Chua Kian Jon is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, at the National University of Singapore. He has been conducting research on renewable energy systems and heat recovery systems since 1997. He has conducted both modeling and experimental works for specific thermal energy systems. He is highly skilled in designing; fabricating; commissioning and testing many sustainable energy systems to provide for heating, cooling, and humidity control for both small and large-scale applications. He has been elected to several fellowships including Fellow of the Royal Society, Fellow of the Energy Institute, and Fellow of IMechE. He was highlighted among the top 1% of scientists in the world by the Universal Scientific Education and Research Network and the top 0.5% in the Stanford list of energy researchers. Hany M. Hasanien (M 09, SM 11) received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo, Egypt, in 1999, 2004, and 2007, respectively. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Joint Researcher with Kitami Institute of Technology, Kitami, Japan. From 2012 to 2015, he was Associate Professor at College of Engineering, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Currently, he is Professor at the Electrical Power and Machines Department, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. His research interests include modern control techniques, power systems dynamics and control, energy storage systems, renewable energy systems, and smart grid. Prof. Hasanien is an Editorial Board Member of Electric Power Components and Systems Journal. He is Subject Editor of IET Renewable Power Generation, Frontiers in Energy Research and Electronics MDPI. He has authored, co-authored, and edited three books in the field of electric machines and renewable energy. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences. His biography has been included in Marquis Who's Who in the world for its 28 edition, 2011. He was awarded Encouraging Egypt Award for Engineering Sciences in 2012. He was awarded Institutions Egypt Award for Invention and Innovation of Renewable Energy Systems Development in 2014. He was awarded the Superiority Egypt Award for Engineering Sciences in 2019. Currently, he is IEEE PES Egypt Chapter Chair and is Editor in Chief of Ain Shams Engineering Journal.

Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan Ali is currently an associate professor in the Mechanical engineering department at Khalifa University, UAE. He served as an associate and assistant professor at the University of Helwan, Egypt, as an assistant professor at Masdar Institute, UAE, and as a senior research scientist and senior lecturer at the University of Kentucky, USA. During his academic career, Dr. Ali established comprehensive experimental and computational studies on Hydrogen, Hydrocarbons, Biofuels, and Syngas combustion. He developed a robust database for the laminar burning characteristics, including flame stability analysis. This database is used for developing full and reduced reaction mechanisms for hydrogen, hydrocarbons, biofuels, and syngas combustion and guided several research studies in understanding the burning rate as well as the stability conditions for these fuels under different preferential diffusion conditions. He also accomplished comprehensive computational fluid dynamics (CFD) studies for industrial burners and furnaces design, Internal combustion engine performance, waste heat recovery from flue gases, and water desalination. These CFD models are guided to improve, optimize, and recover waste energy in energy conversion devices. Dr. Ali established a computational and technoeconomical research study on the renewability of the solar CSP/gas power hybrid plant by using biofuel gas turbinesto replace the booster fire heaters to superheat the steam and also to replace the solar shade time fire heaters to produce electricity during the night time. Also, a feasibility study is accomplished to use thermal storage technology versus CSP/gas hybrid power. In the aluminum and steel industries, he developed several designs for heat-to-power and heat-to-heat recovery systems to utilize the furnaces and smelter flue gas to produce electricity, desalinate water, and preheat solid scrap within the industrial plant, investigated the power modulation in the aluminum industry for the Integration of Renewable Energy in Key Industrial Sectors for UAE. His achievements are published in more than 120 articles, cited, and recognized in top journals in the field. He has served as the principal/co‐principal investigator of more than 20 projects; he is responsible for more than $5 Million. In 2002, he was selected among 13 leading scientists in the US by DOE to improve energy efficiency and develop an ingot-cracking index in the aluminum industry. Currently, he is a member of the Center for Membrane and Advanced Water Technology (CMAT) and the Advanced Digital & Additive Manufacturing (ADAM) Centers at Khalifa University.

Hideyuki Kanematsu, Specially Appointed Professor, National Institute of Technology (KOSEN), Suzuka College. Dr. Hideyuki Kanematsu is a Specially Appointed Professor at the National Institute of Technology at Suzuka College in Japan. Dr. Junye Wang is a full professor and the Campus Alberta Innovation Program (CAIP) Research Chair at Athabasca University, Canada. He received his M.Sc. degree (1989) in Thermo-physics from Harbin Shipbuilding Engineering Institute and his Ph.D. degree (1996) in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology. Then he joined Shanghai Jiaotong University as an associate professor in 1996. From 1999 to 2013, he worked at the Universities of Sheffield, Greenwich, Loughborough, Scottish Crop Research Institute, and Rothamsted Research, UK, as a research associate, research scientist, and principal research scientist, respectively. Dr. Wang has over 30 years of experience in multiscale and multidisciplinary modeling and is an internationally recognized leader in energy, environment, and sustainability. He has authored/coauthored 1 book, and over 160 papers, including over 120 peer-reviewed journal papers. Hamid Khayyam received his B.Sc. degree (Hons.) from the University of Isfahan, his M.Sc. degree from the Iran University of Science and Technology, and his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Deakin University, Australia. Dr. Khayyam has worked in automation and energy productivity in various industrial companies for more than ten years. In his previous position, he was leading the efforts on modelling, control and optimization of energy systems in the carbon fiber production line at Carbon Nexus, Deakin University. Dr. Khayyam is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, School of Engineering at the RMIT University, Australia. Fuwen Yang is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering and Built Environment at Griffith University and the group leader of Smart Energy within the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems. Giuseppe Spazzafumo graduated and obtained Ph.D. at the University of Pisa, Italy. He currently is an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. His main research fields include hydrogen energy systems, power to X, fuel cell systems, renewable energy systems, and life cycle sustainability assessment. He published around 100 journal and conference papers and three books: B. Sorensen and G. Spazzafumo "Hydrogen and Fuel Cells" (third edition), A. Basile and G. Spazzafumo "Cogeneration systems and membrane technologies", G. Spazzafumo "Power to Fuel - How to Speed Up a Hydrogen Economy". He holds 4 Italian patents. He is the coordinator of the series HYPOTHESIS (HYdrogen Power Theoretical and Engineering Solutions International Symposium) and organized the World Hydrogen Technologies Convention 2007 and the World Online Conference on Sustainable Technologies 2021 and 2022. He received the IAHE Rudolph A. Erren Award in 2018. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy since 1999 and the founding president of the IAHE Hydrogen Energy Systems Division. Lately, he founded EnTraT srls (Energy Transition Team), an academic spin-off of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio.

Dr. Nicholas Apergis is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus. Yang Han(S'08-M'10-SM'17) received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), Shanghai, China, in 2010. In 2010, he joined the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, where he has been an Associate Professor in 2013, and a Full professor in 2021. Shunli Wang is a professor at Southwest University of Science and Technology, who is also a doctoral and master's supervisor. Julian Hunt is a research scholar in the Sustainable Service Systems (S3) Research Group of the IIASA Energy, Climate, and Environment Program where he focuses on implementing daily and seasonal storage energy technologies in MESSAGE models and analyzing the impact of these technologies on long-term energy planning. His research interests include analysis of energy systems, water-energy-land interfaces, climate change risks, energy security, and energy storage. In addition to his position at IIASA, Hunt is also a visiting professor in the postgraduate program in mechanical engineering at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, where he teaches energy storage and supervises masters and doctoral students. Prior to joining the S3 group, Hunt received a two-year IIASA/CAPES-Brazil research grant to map the global potential for seasonal pumped storage. He joined IIASA from the National Commission for Nuclear Energy (CNEN) in Brazil, developing hybrid nuclear and seawater desalination projects. He also previously worked at the Energy and Climate Change Branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). Hunt holds a D.Phil in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford and a B.Eng degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham.

Kumars Rouzbehi (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in electric energy systems from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2016. Prior to this, he was an Academic staff with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, department of systems and control, Islamic Azad University (IAU), from 2002 to 2011. In parallel with teaching and research at the IAU, he was the CEO of Khorasan Electric and Electronics Industries Research Company from 2004 to 2010. From 2017 to 2019, he was an Associate Professor at Loyola Andalucia University, Seville, Spain. Since 2019, he is with the Department of Systems and Automatic Control Engineering, University of Seville, Seville, Spain. He holds a patent in ac grid synchronization of voltage source power converters and has authored/co-authored more than 100 technical books, book chapters, journal articles, and technical conference proceedings. Dr. Rouzbehi is an Associate Editor for IEEE SYSTEMS JOURNAL, IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, IET Renewable Power Generation, IET High Voltage, and IET Energy Systems Integration. Miguel Amado (born 1959) is a Professor at the Instituto Superior Tecnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon in Lisbon, Portugal, is Vice-Presidente of Instituto Superior Tecnico and he is a professor of Architectural Project in the master's course and several subjects in the Ph.D. program in Architecture. He is a research member of CERIS - Center for Research and Innovation in Civil Engineering for Sustainability and is also responsible for GEOTPU.LAB-Laboratory of Planning, Urbanism, Architecture and Environment Studies. Amado has a degree in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon, Specialist in Rehabilitation of Urban Centre's from UNESCO MBA/ARCA, Master in Spatial Planning and Environmental Planning, and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Dr. Abolfazl Ahmadi I am an academic staff here in the Department of Energy systems engineering, School of new Technologies, Iran University of Science and Technology since 1992. I have a B.Sc. degree from Ferdousi Mashhad University and an M.Sc. qualification from the Sharif University of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. I also obtained my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Sheffield University in the UK in 2005. I am Hamed Rafiee, the head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and the head of economic planning and development of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Campus in University of Tehran. My research has been in the field of agricultural products market, natural resources and environment, and economy of renewable and non-renewable energies. In the recent research in 2022, I had an article titled "A Cluster Analysis on the Energy Use Indicators and Carbon Footprint of Irrigated Wheat Cropping Systems". Dr V. Karasevich has been a member of International Gas Union R&D and innovation committee and was one of the leaders (from IGU side) in IGU GlobalRenewable andLow-CarbonGas Report (2021).
