Kenji Uchino, the pioneer in "piezoelectric actuators," was Director of the International Center for Actuators and Transducers and is currently Academy Professor of EE at The Pennsylvania State University. He was President of Micromechatronics, PA, and also Navy Ambassador to Japan from the US Office of Naval Research. Uchino received a Ph.D. degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, and then became a research associate at this university in 1976. He joined Sophia University, Japan, as an Associate Professor (1985), then was recruited from Penn State in 1991. Uchino is a Life Fellow of the American Ceramic Society, IEEE, and Int’l Assoc. Adv. Mater. and also a recipient of 34 awards, including Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE UFFC Society, the International Ceramic Award from the Global Academy of Ceramics, and the and the IEEE-UFFC Ferroelectrics Recognition Award. He has authored 582 papers, 87 books, and 33 patents in the ceramic actuator area, leading to an h-index of 82.

Professor Liqiu Wang is the Chair Professor of Thermal-Fluid and Energy Engineering and the Otto Poon Charitable Foundation Endowed Professor in Smart and Sustainable Energy at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With a prolific career, Professor Wang has made significant contributions to the field. He has published over 550 papers in prestigious journals and conferences and has also authored 11 scholarly monographs, books, and five book chapters. Professor Wang’s research has also been widely referenced by researchers worldwide. A proud holder of over 40 patents and copyrights, Professor Wang led a 100-strong international team in developing a cutting-edge thermal control system for the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer (AMS) on the International Space Station. This system ensures precise temperature regulation for AMS and its sub-detectors, enabling optimal performance in extreme temperature variations from -40°C to 60°C at 90-minute intervals. Professor Wang's work has received extensive attention from the local and international media and garnered numerous awards. The long list includes the 2021 Gold Medal of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, the 2018 TechConnect Global Innovation Award, the 2018 Silver Medal of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, and the 2017 OSA Innovation Award. Beyond his research achievements, Professor Wang has made a lasting impact through his editorial service to over 30 international journals. He organised important conferences and chaired multiple professional society activities. His expertise and research findings are highly sought after by advisory bodies as well as the international community and industry in the field of thermal-fluid sciences and engineering.

Paulo C. De Morais, PhD, was full Professor of Physics at the University of Brasilia (UnB) - Brazil up to 2013, Appointed as UnB's Emeritus Professor (2014), Appointed as Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology - China (2011), Visiting Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology - China (2012-2015), Appointed as Distinguished Professor at Anhui University (AHU) - China (2016-2019), Appointed as Full Professor at Catholic University of Brasília (UCB) - Brazil (2018), Appointed as CNPq-1A Research Fellowship since 2010. 2007 Master Research Prize from UnB, 2008-member of the European ERA NET Nanoscience Committee; Member of the IEEE-Magnetic Society Technical Committee; Senior Member of the IEEE Society, 2012 China’s 1000 Foreign Expert Recipient; and 2012 Academic Excellence Award from the Brazilian Professor’s Union. He held a two-year (1987–1988) postdoctoral position with Bell Communications Research in New Jersey, USA, and received his doctoral degree in solid state physics (1986) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He graduated in both chemistry (1976) and physics (1977) from UnB. Professor Morais is a member of the Brazilian Physical Society and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has served as a referee for more than 50 technical journals, is part of the editorial board of more than 15 technical journals, and has conducted research on nanomaterials for over 40 years. He is known for his research in the preparation, characterization, and applications of nanosized materials (magnetic fluid, magnetoliposome, magnetic nanoemulsion, magnetic nanocapsule, magnetic nanofilm, magnetic nanocomposite, nanosized semiconductors, polymeric dots, carbon dots, and graphene quantum dots).

Dr. Mingxu Xia, Dean of the School of Materials and New Energy, Ningxia University, China; Professor in the School of Materials Science Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU); member of the Solidification Science and Technology branch of CMRS. Before he joined SJTU, he worked for Brunel University London, UK for 7 years as a senior research fellow. His research mainly focuses on the atomic mechanism of solidification, the technology of casting process control, and the solution for new technology applications. He published over 120 papers in top journals such as ACTA Mater., Appl. Phys. Lett., Metall. Mater. Trans. A et al. wrote 2 chapters in books on metallic glasses. The h index is 26.

Guo Ming Weng, Ph.D., is currently an Associate Professor at the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Hydrogen Science & Center of Hydrogen Science, School of Materials Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. He obtained his doctorate in chemistry at the University of Hong Kong. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Yale University, and New York University. His research interests center on electrochemistry, hydrogen science, and waste recycling.

Liviu Duta successfully completed his master’s studies in biomaterials in 2008 and his Ph.D. in solid state physics in 2013. Since 2024, he has held the position of Senior Scientific Researcher 1st degree in the "Laser-Surface-Plasma Interactions" (LSPI) laboratory, Lasers Department, National Institute for Lasers, Plasma, and Radiation Physics (NILPRP), Magurele, Romania. He has over 17 years of experience in the field of laser processing and the characterization of various types of materials. He was recognized as one of the pioneers of synthesis via the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique of simple and doped hydroxyapatite coatings derived from biological resources. He has demonstrated his leadership and involvement in the academic community by organizing several international conferences. Additionally, he actively contributes as a reviewer for reputable ISI-ranked journals, is a member of several editorial boards, and has served as a guest editor for eight special issues. He is an active member of the Scientific Council of NILPRP and the Scientific Committee of the Doctorate School in Physics. Since 2009, Liviu Duta has taken on the responsibility of coordinating more than 10 international specialization stages for students from French universities. His current research interests include thin-film deposition (via PLD and matrix-assisted pulsed laser evaporation techniques), biomaterials, hard and protective coatings, advanced characterization methods, and the exploration of natural-origin calcium phosphates as sustainable biofunctional coatings for medical applications. Additionally, he is involved in research related to biomimetic metallic implants. Liviu Duta has made significant contributions to the field with more than 60 published scientific papers, 3 book chapters, 4 editorials, 2 eBooks, 2 awarded invention Patents, and 6 international prizes.
